EcoSync
A waste management platform for people working in the field. Permits, transporters and delivered volumes are organised into dark, high-contrast screens that stay readable in daylight.
The Challenge
Waste management runs on paperwork: permits, licences, assigned transporters and delivered volumes, all of it auditable. Moving that into an app means showing a lot of data without the app turning into a form.
It is also used in poor conditions for a screen: direct sun, gloved hands, patchy signal, and drivers in the middle of a route.
The Approach
A dark base with high-contrast green cuts glare and keeps the screen readable outdoors. The brightest colour is kept for things that need action.
Information is grouped by the decision it supports. A contractor sees status, quantity and next action together, so routine questions are answered without navigating anywhere.
The System
Tap targets are sized for gloved hands, charts give a summary before the detail, and every screen has one clear main action. Licence assignment and QR generation are one tap from home because they are done most often.
